When All Your Roles Reverse at Once

Hey Beyonder!
Monday was Diwali, and honestly, the celebrations gave me one of those moments that makes you pause and really feel something. The kind of moment that stays with you long after it's over.
Without a doubt, the highlight was our family trip to Kodaikanal. And let me tell you, it turned out to be quite an interesting trip.
Life Outside Work: When Roles Reverse
I was actually very excited about this trip. Not because I expected to do anything wild or adventurous, but because of the people I'd be spending time with. I always enjoy being around my family. They create moments that are deeply emotional, the kind you can only experience with a few people in your life. And they're right at the top of that list for me.
My aunt came along, a few other relatives joined too, and my cousin took the responsibility of planning everything. She booked the hotel, arranged the tickets, handled all the logistics. Ironically though, she couldn't make it to the trip in the end. Classic, right?

A glimpse worth holding onto.
When we reached the hotel she had booked, we realized it was an excellent place. Great property, beautiful view. But there was one small problem. Almost everyone on the trip was above 45 years old, and the hotel had a lot of stairs and steep paths. They were finding it a bit difficult to move around.
That moment really hit me.
I remembered how, years ago, these were the same people who used to take all of us (the cousins) on trips. They carried our bags, took care of us, made sure we had fun. But now, it's different. It's our turn to take care of them. We carried their bags this time. We planned around their comfort.
It made me realize how the roles had reversed, and that realization stayed with me.
You know what's interesting? It's one of those things you don't see coming. There's no announcement, no notification. You just wake up one day and notice that the people who once took care of you now need you to take care of them. And honestly? I'm grateful I get to do it.
We stayed in a beautiful resort, spent a day exploring Kodaikanal, and woke up to a view so stunning that it made me pause. City life may be exciting, but this kind of calm and beauty is something else entirely. It's moments like these that make you realize growth isn't always loud. Sometimes it's quiet, like carrying a bag up the stairs.
Work Stuff: Big Moves and New Faces
While the trip was the personal highlight, work has been great too. We recently closed one of our biggest clients yet. Something I'm really excited about. Now we're preparing the team for it, which means we're looking to hire two specific roles.
The first role is for someone who's great at communication. Someone who can act as the bridge between our internal team and the client. Basically, if you're someone who loves talking to people, managing conversations, staying responsive, and being available when needed, you'd be perfect for this.
The second role is the complete opposite. We're also looking for someone who prefers not to talk too much. Someone who loves working behind the scenes, enjoys structure, loves Excel sheets, organization, and execution. If you're a detail-oriented doer who likes things to be systematic and efficient, we'd love to have you too.
If either of these sounds like you, hit reply to this email. Let's talk!

Looking into this ice cream cup… just like we’re looking for the perfect teammate. Could it be you?
Speaking to the Next Generation
Apart from all this, I was also invited as a panelist at an event called the Tamil Nadu Legacy Summit. It was a special experience because it was the first time I attended an event hosted for school students. Usually, I speak at colleges or entrepreneur gatherings, but this was different.
The students there were incredibly mature. Far more than I expected. They not only understood my content but also made me understand my own content better. They shared how my videos had impacted their lives, and hearing that directly from them was both humbling and powerful.
You know what stuck with me? Seeing your work through the eyes of the people who actually consume it. It's one thing to create content and hope it resonates. It's another thing entirely to hear someone tell you exactly how it changed something for them. This week, I truly got to experience that.
Loved interacting with such bright young minds.
A Thought to Ponder
This whole week made me think about something: we're all playing different roles at different stages of life.
Sometimes you're the one being taken care of. Sometimes you're the one doing the taking care of. Sometimes you're the student. Sometimes you're the teacher.
The trick isn't avoiding these shifts. It's recognizing when they happen and showing up fully, no matter which role you're in.
Right now, I'm learning to show up better for my family. I'm learning to build a team that can handle bigger challenges. And I'm learning that sometimes the most impactful moments aren't the ones you plan. They're the ones that just happen when you're present enough to notice them.
Like carrying a bag up the stairs and realizing everything has changed.
Over to You
If you've read this far, you're awesome. Seriously, thank you for your time.
I'd love to know,

Hit reply and tell me about it. I'm here, waiting to listen to your stories!
See you next week!
Cheers,
