The Week That Changed my Revenue Goal

Hey Beyonders! 👋

Last week felt like one of those weeks where every experience connects to teach you something bigger. Let me walk you through it.

When Spaces Tell Stories

I visited Agnel's office again - this time seeing it fully set up and buzzing with energy. I'd been there during the opening before, but now? Walking through those corridors, hearing the passion in his voice during the tour, something clicked.

Sneak peek into Agnel’s Office :)

That visit did something to me. It reminded me what's possible when you commit fully to your vision. Sometimes you need to see someone else's version of success to push yourself harder.

Which brings me to what happened next.

The IIT Reality Check That Changed Everything

Midweek took me to IIT Madras Research Park for a build-up program. Same team I'd done a roundtable podcast with - good people doing real work on helping others build products.

Two sessions. That's all I could attend. But something that hit me was

  • "A+ people come with A+ egos." Managing talent isn't just about finding skilled people - it's about managing personalities too.

  • But here's the one that really got me: "Always be recruiting."

Everyone talks about "Always be closing" in sales. But always be recruiting? That's the game-changer. If I don't bring in strong teammates, I'm not just slowing down the company - I'm being unfair to those already giving 100%. One weak link affects everyone.

The lesson? Hire fast, fire fast, keep the company's heart in mind, not personal feelings.

These weren't just theories. They were about to become very real.

A glimpse from the IIT event.

The Coimbatore Experiment

Because the very next day, we pulled off something completely spontaneous - the Offstage Show in Coimbatore.

Instead of the usual panel format, we flipped it: let the audience ask questions directly. We weren't sure if people would show up in a new city for this experiment.

Within a day? Nearly 100 registrations.

The crowd was this incredible mix of students and entrepreneurs asking deeply practical questions. No fluff, just real problems getting real solutions. This was the first ThirdLane Show - something I want to scale up.

Where questions met conversations !

But here's what struck me most: every conversation circled back to team building and scaling. The same lessons from IIT, now playing out in real-time discussions.

And then the universe decided to connect all the dots.

The 5X Commitment

All these experiences led to one crystal-clear decision: We're growing revenue 5x before year-end.

Ambitious? Yeah. But after seeing what's possible, meeting the right people, and understanding what real team building looks like, this isn't just a goal anymore.

It's happening.

When it does, everyone wins - the team financially and professionally. Because a happy, strong team is the backbone of everything.

The vision is clear. Now it's rigorous implementation time.

Over to You

This week taught me that growth isn't just about strategies. It's about showing up in the right spaces, having the right conversations, with the right people.

Hit reply - I genuinely love hearing your stories.

Cheers,
Epaphra

P.S. I met a well-known Tamil creator I've admired for ages. Can't spill details yet, but we're planning a podcast together. Stay tuned
