The Hardest Week of My Year (And What It Taught Me)

Hey Beyonder!

Last week was rough. Like, really rough.

You know that feeling when everything that can go wrong decides to gang up on you at the same time? Yeah, that was my week.

The Agency Storm

Problems started popping up at TownScholar left, right, and center. Our team dynamics shifted. People who used to work seamlessly together suddenly had friction. Small issues became bigger ones.

Locked In. Zoned out. Figuring it all out.

And you know what hit me the hardest?

As a founder, watching your team struggle feels personal. Like, really personal.

Here's the thing nobody tells you about building something with people: You're not just responsible for the work. You're responsible for their success, their growth, their happiness at work.

That's a lot of weight to carry.

But here's what I learned this week: More than any skill, more than what you offer, more than what people expect from you - if you want to build something big, you need to master one thing: handling people.

Because without people, you can't do big things. And if you want people to grow with you, you better be ready to go through a lot.

It's hard. It's exhausting. But that's exactly why it's worth it.

Moving House While Your World is Shaking

Oh, and did I mention I'm also moving houses right now?

Yeah, because apparently life thought I wasn't juggling enough! 😅

I'm leaving my place in Besant Nagar (quick shoutout - if anyone needs a bachelor pad for ₹18K, hit me up!) and moving to a bigger space. Why? Because I want to set up a proper studio for more YouTube videos.

Yet to setup the new studio space

But here's the cool part - my friends are moving into the same gated community. Different flats, same building. It's like we're living out our own version of "Friends"!

I'm even planning to get the whole TownScholar team to move here eventually. Work and life, all in one place.

Sounds amazing, right?

Well, anyone who's moved houses knows the reality:

  • Packing everything

  • Dealing with landlords

  • A million small tasks that somehow take forever

  • All while your company is having internal issues

Yeah. Fun times.

The Thing About Hope

But here's what keeps me going.

Whenever life throws me the hardest punches, I know something amazing is waiting around the corner. I'm not sure if this makes me pessimistically optimistic, but that's just how I see things.

When everything feels like it's falling apart, that's usually when the biggest breakthroughs happen.

We pulled through. The team issues? We're working through them. The move? Almost done. The stress? Still there, but manageable.

What Building a Company Really Looks Like

From the outside, running an agency might look glamorous. Social media posts about wins, client success stories, team photos.

But the real work happens in these tough moments. When your team is struggling. When you're questioning every decision. When you're dealing with ten different problems while trying to keep everyone motivated.

This is where you either grow or give up.

And honestly? I'm excited about what's coming next.

The new house is going to be incredible. Living with friends in the same building sounds like the kind of adventure I've always wanted. Having the team nearby means we can build something even stronger together.

Just a bunch of us, sharing plates and stories :)

Here's What I'm Taking Away

Building something meaningful isn't just about the good days. It's about pushing through when everything feels impossible.

Your team will have conflicts. You'll question your decisions. You'll feel overwhelmed.

But that's not failure. That's growth.

What About You?

I'm curious

Hit reply and tell me your story. Sometimes just sharing what we're going through makes it feel a little lighter.

And hey, if you're going through your own tough week right now, remember this: You're stronger than you think. And something good is probably waiting just around the corner.

Keep pushing, Beyonders. We're all in this together.

Cheers,

Epaphra

P.S. Next week I'll tell you about the new studio setup and some exciting projects we're planning. Sometimes the best things come right after the hardest moments!
