Hey Beyonder!
Home is where the mangoes are sweeter and the hustle feels different. Let me tell you what's been happening lately.
Working from Home... Literally
Last week, I packed my bags and headed back to Tirunelveli (my hometown). Why? Chennai was starting to feel a bit lonely - just me in my house, working away. And let's be honest - it's mango season! How could I miss eating mangoes with my family?
Joy is as simple as fruit in season and a good story.
Every morning, I walk into my dad's "office" (which is just one of the rooms in our house), and we sit at the same table working on our separate things. He recently started a small business, and seeing him build something from scratch is pretty inspiring.
My mom, who's a teacher on vacation right now, joins us too! She helps my dad with cold calls and other stuff. It's funny how life comes full circle:
First, I was working with colleagues at Zoho
Then with team members I hired at TownScholar
Now with my parents at our dining table
The hustle is still there, but it doesn't feel like work. It's just... nice. A weird feeling, but nice.
Here's something that blew my mind recently.
A friend who runs a successful ed-tech company told me he's looking for a content strategist. Not just a content writer - a strategist. And get this: he's willing to pay between 6-8 lakhs for the right person!
When most people hear "content writer," they think poems or entertainment stories. But social media content writing? It's powerful stuff. While everyone's focused on becoming content creators or video editors, very few people are aiming to be serious content writers.
Which is crazy because I've been doing content writing since my third year of college! Even now, it's the core of what I do at TownScholar. If the writing isn't good, the video sucks - simple as that.

A Thought to Ponder
Working alongside my parents made me realize something: The environment changes, the people change, but the hustle stays the same. What makes it enjoyable is who you share it with.
Sometimes going back helps you move forward.
Sometimes the old routines spark new ideas.
Sometimes you don’t need a clean reflection to see how far you’ve come
