I Made a Film in the Company That Taught Me Everything

Hey Beyonder! 👋

Something amazing happened this week. And I can't wait to tell you about it.

You know that feeling when life surprises you? When everything you've worked for suddenly connects in ways you never expected?

That's exactly what happened to me.

Going Back to Where It All Started

Two years ago, I was just another employee at Zoho. I had no idea how IT companies worked. I was learning everything from scratch.

Fast forward to last Friday. I walked into the same Zoho office. But this time, everything was different.

Not an employee this time. A creator.

I wasn't there as an employee. I was there as a creator. A storyteller. Someone with a vision.

The Big News I've Been Hiding

Remember when I hinted at a dream collaboration a few weeks back? Some of you guessed it right.

I'm collaborating with Zoho.

Not just any project. This is my biggest one yet. It's not just a video. It's an experiment. A mix of storytelling, filmmaking, and creative risk-taking.

I spent days writing the script. I got a team of filmmakers together. The Zoho team has been incredibly supportive.

Wouldn’t have pulled this off without this amazing crew.

And here's the crazy part - I'm creating this film inside the same walls that shaped me as a person.

Meeting the People Who Built Dreams

During my visit, I met Radha Vembu (co-founder) and Rajendran Dandapani (one of Zoho's early team members).

Standing there, talking to them, it hit me hard.

Two years ago, I was confused about my career. Today, I'm building something creative in the same space where I learned to work.

Life really does come full circle.

I also met my old teammates. We always catch up when I visit. And wow, Zoho has grown so much. New buildings. New energy. You can feel something big happening there.

So much has changed. Yet, it all feels familiar.

Taking the Biggest Creative Risk

We spent an entire day shooting this project. From morning to night.

This is completely new for me. I've never done anything like this before. It mixes vlogging, storytelling, and high-production filmmaking.

I'm not even sure if anyone in Tamil content has tried something like this.

Will it work? I don't know. But I'm proud of what we're building. And I'm excited to show it to you.

Other Good Things Happening

While all this was going on, more good news kept coming:

The Writing Course is Almost Ready. We've started recording. The modules look great. We should be live soon.

The Podcast is Exploding. Remember the episode with the Cookd founder I mentioned last week? It's now one of our best-performing episodes ever.

People are emailing me their notes. Founders are sharing it with their teams. Listeners are forwarding it to friends.

You know what's special about this? I didn't make it for the audience. I made it for myself. I asked questions I genuinely cared about.

And the audience got it.

This tells me something important. When you create what you love, others feel it too.

So we're taking The Third Lane in a new direction. Deeper questions. More honest conversations. We're not here to play safe.

What This All Means

This week felt like the start of something new.

Going back to old spaces with a new role. Taking risks on different formats. Shifting how I think about content.

But here's what I want you to take away from this:

Your past doesn't define your future. It prepares you for it.

Two years ago, I was learning the basics at Zoho. Today, I'm creating something meaningful with them.

The skills I learned there? They're helping me now. The people I met? They're supporting my vision. The experience I gained? It's making me better at what I do.

Nothing is wasted. Every step you take is preparing you for something bigger.

A Message for You

Maybe you're in a job that feels ordinary right now. Maybe you're learning things that seem unrelated to your dreams.

Don't worry.

Keep learning. Keep growing. Keep building relationships.

One day, you'll look back and see how everything connected. How every experience was preparing you for your moment.

Your full-circle moment is coming.

Trust the process.

Over to You

If you've read this far, you're awesome. Thank you for being part of this journey.

I'm curious

Hit reply and tell me about it.

Can't wait to hear your stories.

See you next week with more updates!

Cheers,

Epaphra

P.S. The Zoho project will be out soon. I can't wait to show you what we've created together!
