I had to work this Christmas

Hey Beyonder!
Last week was different. Really different.
For the first time in my life, I spent Christmas away from my parents.
The First Christmas Away
I was in Chennai. They were back home. And honestly? It felt strange.
But here's the thing - I had work to finish.
The course launch needs a website. We need a promotion plan. There's a lot to do.
Some people might call this a sacrifice. I don't see it that way.
I see it as an investment.
Once this phase is done, I can go back home anytime. I can spend time with them properly.
But right now? This work matters.
Holidays can wait. Growth can't.
And you know what? I'm okay with that decision.
Planning for 2026
With all the work last week, I also did something important.
I sat down and planned my 2026.
But not just work goals. I'm talking about everything:
Family time
Money and business
Adventures I want to take
Personal growth
Health and fitness
Here's what I realized: We are not one-dimensional beings.
We're a complete package. And we need to grow in all areas, not just one.
Think about it.
What's the point of making money if your health is poor?
What's the point of being successful if your family feels distant?
Balance matters.
A Conversation That Opened My Mind
Last week, I met Soundarya. She's written three books. She's been in Chennai for a while now.
We caught up over coffee.
And here's what was different - we didn't talk about work the whole time.
Usually when I meet entrepreneurs, it's all business.
Work. Strategy. Numbers.
But this? This was different.
We talked about life.
About experiences.
About how things work in different places.
She told me about doing business in America. How it's different from India.
The mindset. The approach. The opportunities.
It got me thinking. I want to visit the US soon. See things for myself. Learn firsthand.

Why Meeting People Matters
Here's something I've learned: People expand your world.
Every person you meet plants a new idea in your head.
They show you a different way of thinking. A different possibility.
Meeting Soundarya reminded me why I love conversations beyond work.
Because work is just one part of life. And some of the best ideas come when you're not actively looking for them.

Say hi to Soundarya and Harish :)
A Thought for You
This week, I want you to think about something:
Are you growing in all areas of your life? Or are you focusing on just one?
Work is important. Money is important. But so is your health.
Your family. Your experiences.
Don't ignore the other parts.
Because at the end of the day, you're a complete person.
Not just a professional. Not just a creator.
You're all of it together.
Over to You
Have you ever had to choose work over a holiday or family time? How did it feel?

Hit reply. Let's talk about it.
See you next Wednesday!
Cheers,
Epaphra
P.S. If you're planning your 2026 too, remember - think beyond just one area. Think about the whole package that is you.
