Goals, Shoes, and Everything In Between

Hey Beyonder! 👋

You know those weeks when everything feels like it's flowing together? Like the universe is dropping little breadcrumbs that all lead to the same place? That's exactly what this week felt like for me.

It all started when I decided to do something I rarely do - socialize. I attended an event hosted by Ratheesh Krishnan, and honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect. But sometimes the best things happen when you step outside your usual routine.

When Goals Become Real

The event had this activity called the Breakthrough Moment. We were asked to define where we wanted to be in the future, not just any goal, but something specific, with an actual date attached. Year from now, to be exact.

Good talks, great people.

Then came the visualization part. We were asked to close our eyes and actually see ourselves achieving that goal. Picture the moment, feel the emotions, imagine what it would look like when it become reality. And honestly? It felt really, really good. Like, surprisingly good.

That's when it hit me, there's something powerful about not just setting goals but actually feeling what it's like to achieve them. Your brain starts treating it less like a distant dream and more like something that's already on its way. That's probably why I left feeling more focused and energized than I had in weeks.

A Conversation That Went Deep

Speaking of focus, that energy carried over into something amazing that happened later this week. I recorded a podcast with someone who has this incredible way of breaking down branding and positioning.

But here's the thing, it wasn't just any conversation. This one went deep. We explored layers of positioning that honestly, I don't think any recent Tamil podcast has touched with this much depth.

One insight that really stuck with me was how positioning isn't just about what you say, it's about what you choose NOT to say. Sometimes, the power is in the restraint. It connected perfectly with what I'd been feeling after that visualization exercise. Clarity isn't just about seeing your goals; it's about knowing exactly what you stand for and what you don't.

The conversation gave me fresh perspectives that are already influencing how I think about my own positioning. It's currently in the editing stage, and I can't wait to share it with you all.

Opening My Home, Building My Community

On a different note, I also want to share something that's been on my mind lately. I released a home tour video recently, well, more like a 30-minute day in my life video. I literally opened my doors and let people into my actual space, my real routine.

It didn't reach a huge audience, but that's not what I'm chasing anymore. My focus is on building a stronger, closer-knit community. And for the people who are already part of it? This video was a hit. They loved it, and honestly, I loved making it, the camera angles, the natural flow, the little moments.

There's something beautiful about letting people into your actual space. It's vulnerable, but it's also liberating. It made me realize how much I value these deeper connections over just growing numbers.

The Joy in Small Things

You want to know what's funny? In the middle of all these realizations about goals and community building, I got myself a brand-new pair of shoes. And for the past two or three days, I've been just staring at them every time I walk into my home.

New shoes, new steps.

My last pair was from two years ago, and I wore them everywhere. I use my shoes to their fullest before getting new ones, but when I do get them, they bring this weird, simple joy.

These shoes are going to walk with me to all my upcoming events, and somehow, that feels connected to everything else. They're going to be part of the journey for next few years.

New Cities, New Stories

Speaking of journeys, this month I'll be visiting two cities I don't get to often: Mumbai and Goa. For someone who doesn't travel much, this feels like a big adventure.

Mumbai for work, Goa for work as well, let's see what happens there! I'm excited to explore, and maybe bring back stories that'll help me connect even deeper with all of you.

Any recommendations for either city? I'm all ears

A Week of Small Wins

Here's what struck me about this week: Sometimes the best weeks aren't the ones with the biggest achievements. They're the ones filled with small moments that remind you why you love what you do.

The breakthrough session energized me in ways I didn't expect. The podcast conversation gave me fresh perspectives on my own work. The positive response to that home tour video reminded me how much I value building genuine connections over just growing numbers. Even something as simple as new shoes brought unexpected joy to my everyday routine.

It's funny how unrelated moments can all contribute to the same feeling, that you're exactly where you need to be, doing exactly what you're meant to be doing.

Over to You

I'm curious,

And here's something I really want to know: Have you ever tried visualizing your goals so specifically that you could actually feel achieving them? If not, maybe this is your sign to try it.

Hit reply and let me know. I read every single email, and some of the best conversations happen right here in our little corner of the internet.

See you soon,
Epaphra

P.S. Still staring at those shoes. Still no regrets.
