A Better Way to Share Your Wins

Hey Beyonder!
A few months ago, I posted a growth milestone.
It did well.
People congratulated me.
Sent fire emojis.
Asked how I did it.
And I remember staring at the screen thinking:
This feels… hollow.
Because the number wasn’t the story.
It was the outcome of a story.
And I hadn’t told that part.
Here’s What I Noticed
Creators love posting metrics.
42% growth.
5X revenue.
It looks impressive. But think about this.
When was the last time you remembered someone’s analytics?
Exactly.
You remember moments.
You remember tension.
You remember people.
Not percentages.
That’s when I started paying attention to something subtle.
The posts that moved me never led with the stat.
They translated it.
The Shift That Changed Everything
Now, whenever I see a number, I ask one question:
Who lives inside this?
If 30% of students drop out… Who is one of them?
If revenue doubled… What did that unlock?
If engagement dropped… What did I misunderstand?
That question alone changes how you tell the story.
The Technique
Here’s how it works, but don’t treat this like a formula sheet. Treat it like a lens.

That’s it.
A Brand That Does This Beautifully
Look at Spotify Wrapped.
They don’t say:
“You streamed 2,340 minutes.”
They say:
“You were in your rediscovery era.”
They turn usage data into identity.
Why This Works
Because numbers tell scale.
Stories tell consequence.
And consequence is what people carry.
A stat makes someone nod.
A story makes them pause.
Try This, This Week
Before you post your next milestone, stop.
Instead of: “We reached 5,000.”
Try: “One message this week reminded me why this matters.”
Then build from there.
You don’t have to exaggerate.
Just translate.
Final Thought
You don’t need bigger numbers. You need deeper interpretation.
Every metric already has a story inside it.
Most people just don’t look long enough.
What’s one number you’ve posted recently that deserves a human layer?
Reply and tell me.
Keep telling stories,
